Midi tube skirt, what to wear with it?

I have bought a charcoal grey midi tube skirt as I am trying to get away from wearing jeans all the time. However, I have no idea what tops/footwear to wear with it!!!

Can you advise please S&B gurus? Am size 12/14 and about 5'8" tall, if that helps any! Thanks

I have various tube skirts and find them a god send when I can't face wearing jeans! Sometimes I wear them with a slouchy jumper and boots, or t shirt and converse. Today I am wearing a black tube skirt, checked lumberjack type shirt and brogues. Sounds random but looks alright (I hope!)

Basically I find you can wear tube skirts with pretty much anything!

Black opaques and grey or black ankle boots.
Grey opaques and black or tan ankle boots.

Also wear mine with lumberjack shirt.

I like to wear mine with one of the many cropped fluffy jumpers I have bought recently in Topshop - I'm addicted.
And ankle boots, or clompy heels.

On top, I like either a slim fitting or slightly slouchy (but not too slouchy due to norkage) and a fitted biker jacket.

Thanks all! I have ankle boots, kind of cowboy/biker style and they are grey. So you reckon black tights with grey boots and skirt, not grey tights too? Or is that all a bit grey?

Ipve tueb skirts too and wear with either my biker boots or converse high tops. On the top I try not to wear something too fitted, so I either layer t-shirts with cardis or shirts, or wear with a slouchyish jumper to try to account for the tight fitting bottom half, so I don't look too 'body con', ifyswim.

I normally wear some sort of slouchy tshirt or a casual denim style shirt over the top. Definitely something slouchy.

Can't really help on the footwear - I live in the tropics so it's normally flip flops!

I'm currently wearing a black one which I bought from Primark. I've pared it with a slouchy fine knit top , black opaques and high heels.
I'm also wearing red lippy (Revlon Candy Apple) as discussed on another current thread so just need to put on my glasses and will have the hot secretary look down to a T.

I've got two short Whistles ones, one black and one black and white striped, and one midi black Whistles one with a split at the side. I've also got a couple of Topshop ones.

If you can get a Whistles one in the sale, they are well worth it - I couldn't/wouldn't pay full price for them, but up to £35 they are a good deal, as they are far better quality than the others. The Topshop ones are not bad at all for the price either.

It is good that you want to wear midi tube skirt with your good height. You can wear with that long boots and ankle boots with this to look awesome.

i have the whistles one remus linked to , and at the weekend I picked a really lovely one that looks as good if not better quality than the whistles one in Zara, it was 20E, so really a bargain.
