Lurk on style and beauty now and again and interested to hear WWYD with my hair...

I have a long face, fairly balanced features, thin lips, think a 12-14 sized Yasmin Le Bon's plain sister. I'm of irish origin so dark hair, celtic pale skin combo.

My hair is long, reaching bottom of my shoulderblades, pretty much one length. Dark brown, almost black. Fine hair, average amount, but can look a bit flat/thin if not washed every day. Has natural wave but currently drops out due to weight/length. Tiny amount of grey around ears but negligible so far. Very dry bottom 4 inches need to come off.

It's only really gotten this length because I've been busy and not attending to it in any way. In the past has been bobbed and highlighted, shoulder length with fringe or just a shorter version of what I have now.

Any ideas? (And is ombre "over"?)

hairdresser here:)

ombré is over yep. what about a a-line bob this would give the look of fullness at the back and also compliment your face shape.
what about adding warmer tones such as plums?
they grey will cover easily as most dyes now are designed for that, just read the box if your doing it yourself
