Egg yolk and olive oil, put a bit of vanilla essence or similar in for the aroma if you like. Whisk it up with a fork, warm slightly if your egg is cold (obviously not to cook!) and use your hands to slather it all over! Wrap your head in clingfilm and trot around for as long as you dare, up to half an hour-ish. Wash as normal. You will have gorgeous, soft, silky, shiny hair.

Do you rinse with water or re-shampoo?

Hazelnut oil. It's a high protein oil so it really helps. After years of suffering from highlighted dry frizz, I found it by accident. It's transformed my formerly sad looking barnet.

I tried Argan oil and coconut. Too rich for my very fine hair. It became a sticky matted mess with coconut oil. Even small amounts made it greasy but didn't moisturise it as such. It was greasy frizz. It's as if it just sat on top.

Otherwise experiment with different oils until you find one for you.

Instructions. Oils can be used as a masque. Ie apply lots and leave in and then wash out.

I use it after washing and conditioning before I brush/comb my hair through. Just 3 or 4 drops rubbed between my palms and then run hands over and through hair. Brush/comb/style as normal.

I have blonde highlights too so yes it will work.

I buy mine here: www.akamuti.co.uk/product/1983/hazelnut-oil-100ml

They have loads of oils so you can try others too. Not expensive either.

L'oreal chroma colour conditioner in different shades is nice.

I tried the Elastisizer - there was a sample with a mag recently - and I like it a lot.
