I want big hair, what do I need to do?

I have v thick hair, that comes a couple of inches past my shoulders. Because it's so thick it tends to hang quite heavy, so to get volume I usually backcomb the shit out of it, with lots of hairspray and dry shampoo. Probably not a great technique.

What magical products can I put in my hair that will make it, to use the technical term, go big? I cannot blow dry to save my life, I usually just tip my head upside down and blast it.

TIA Flowers

This one divides people down the middle, but my best weapon for big bouncy hair is the Babyliss Big Beautiful Hair. Works far better than any product I've ever tried, and I'm pretty useless at blowdrying too.

My hair sounds similar to yours. There is no point starting to use it when your hair is wet, it would take all day, it really needs to be almost dry and then you just finish it off in sections with the BBH, and it goes all bouncy.

Disclaimer: Some people on mumsnet hate it and say its useless Grin

I have heard so much about this fabled Babyliss Big Hair! What exactly is it? Like, is it a brush thing?

it's like a brush that twirls round and blows out warm air at the same time. I'm pretty rubbish at blow drying with a round brush, so it suits me well.

I have this ; I'm really bad at blow drying but this is fab. As said get hair almost dry first. I find it works well on the top of my head and gives height similar to back combing ; but I have layers in that area; am unsure if or how it wd work with long length hair in getting the back conned effect ?

Back commed not conned!
