Racer-back tops? Or non-strappy vests, but fitted? Help!

Ok, I'm boiling.

I'm also not tiny, and have big shoulders and small norks, so strappy vests make me look like a tranny. Or something.

I do need a bra.

I know racerback tops suit me, but I'd want a built-in bra (some support & minimal nipple display) or something.

I do have a couple of non-strappy vests, but they're big and baggy, and I'd rather have something that acknowledged my waist.

(I'm a 16, I think. Maybe a 14?)

If you invest in a racerback bra then vest needn't have built in support and you can go to Primark, Topshop etc.
Many M&S bras are 'convertible' ie have a thing to clip straps together at the back to make them racerback - worth a look?

Hmm, I have racerback running bras. Probably should get racerback normal bra. Or M&S. Am trying not to buy more bras at the moment, but should give in. (Current ones don't actually fit I think.)

Do Primark etc have normal stretchy racerback vests then? Maybe I could go up to Hackney and just buy cheap stuff.

yes buy cheap vests - you need them now now now and it's not the time for considered Investment Dressing.
Our Primark was heaving with racerback vests but I can't wear them without looking like a weightlifter. You may even find a racerback bra there.

I have one of those M&S bras. I was fortunate enough to get it cheap in the sale. It has plain cups and is very useful.

Ah, I look like a weightlifter no matter what. (Despite what Franny says.) I'd rather look like a weightlifter than a tranny, which is the look I get with more delicate tops.

It's not really about Investment Dressing, it's about Hating Shopping And Wanting to Minimise It. Also, somehow, shopping back home bugs me less. Dunno why.
