arrrrgh I'm growing out my fringe

I have a full fringe that now reaches down to my nose. ive had a fringe for yrs but it needs trimming so often I can't be bothered with the up keep and fancied a change. it seems to be at that awkward stage where its to short to do much with without a million grips and a ton of hair spray. how do people style a fringe that they are growing out?

I pin mine back, or to the side, or plait it, or roll it into the sides of my hair for a "winged" effect.

like this

ah I see, thats cute I like it. do you have to use much product etc to get it to stay bits of mine always fall down when I pin it back.

No not really, blow drying it in the right direction first helps and then some hairspray to get it to stay and a few bobby pins.

Herecomesthehotstepper · 22/10/2013 17:42

I'm growing mine out as it was cut in too heavy, can you maybe blow dry it into more of a side fringe (20% to side and the rest to the other side)
It looks a bit strange at first but it looks ok while the fringe is growing out

Herecomesthehotstepper · 22/10/2013 17:43

I also went into a salon and asked them to thin it out thru did it for a few pounds and the side fringe now blends in more withy hair

ArtDecoGirly · 22/10/2013 17:56

I quiff mine up and put a couple of Kirby grips in

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 18:18

some times I do wear it as a side fringe but as you say hotstepper it needs chopping at a bit to blend it in.
I do sometimes quiff it but it needs loads of spray to stay up. if I plait it there's always bits sticking out.
I often end up parting it in the middle but my husband says it looks like a 90s curtains 'do Sad .

I was growing out my fringe and wore it 20% on one side, 80% on the other on ponytail days but liked it so much that I still wear it like that! I keep trimming it to about nosetip length Grin

Another quiff wearer her. My problem is mine has almost grown out but I am not sure how to wear it now st the next restyle.

Hair is fine but curly and I hate it blowing on to my face. If I can't find a style it might have to be more pins or a new fringe.

SwishYouToASwazzle · 24/10/2013 23:40

How do you do a quiff? I get the fringe, twist it, push up a little and then use a single pin, from back to front. I think that's not the best way though. Any tips? How do people get those lovely big quiffs?
