the best artificial flowers that money can buy?

I know this is style in the broadest possible sense, but after struggling to get any birthday present suggestions from an unwell elderly relative, she has finally said that she has always wanted realistic looking artificial flowers. So, this has me flummoxed. I have seen Peony (QVC) and also Bloom. I would probably get something like a fake orchid plant as relative used to grow them. There are no reviews on the Bloom site at all and the Peony reviews vary wildly. Does anyone have any experiences/recommendations?

I have this one: www.qvcuk.com/Peony-RHS-Phalaenopsis-Orchid-Faux-Flowers-in-a-Cream-Pot.product.702673.html?sc=702673-SRCH&cm_sp=VIEWPOSITION--18--702673

Very happy with it but was unsure when I purchased due to very mixed reviews on other products. MIL thought it was real until she felt leaves and soil.

John Lewis do some good ones at a range of prices eg

Ooh they both look good. I was considering that Peony one Katnipp.
I had no idea that John Lewis did them too MaggieW. I shall see if my nearest JL has them so that I can see them IRL. Thanks Grin

Sunday they look good. Have you seen flowers from all of those sites in real life? If so which would you say look most realistic?

I bought some Bloom artificial orchids and some posies in the sale last year. They were silly prices, about £6, and so thought I they were great. The vases and earthy contents made them even more realistic and I think I've not seen better anywhere.

Abigail Ahern does gorgeous fauxs - you can get them on her website and they look 100% authentic. She has a shop on Upper Street if you're in London.

I have a massive orchid from John Lewis and it looks real, you have to touch it to realise it's not. However it was white and I have had it in a bay window for about five years and it's become quite yellowed and dusty
