Can anyone enlighten me on the subject of false nails?

I'm fed up of my nails looking rubbish all the time, even when I have a manicure. So....can anyone tell me all about false nails - which type to choose, do they look better longer, is it more expensive than regular manicures, can they look natural rather than like talons etc etc and anything else I should know as I really know nothing about the subject.

I have acrylic nails and they are the best thing since sliced bread! They are really hard so don't break and mine look very natural due to the colour that my nail lady uses. I don't have them that long either and I hvae them 'squoval' so they aren't pointy.

It costs me £29 for a new full set and I have refills every 2 weeks which costs me £20 - the girl comes to my house to do it.

I am never getting rid of my nails - they are fabbo!

I used to have false nails on. The problems start when you no longer want them - when they come off your own nails are so weak and thin that it feels like you haven't got any nails. It took mine around 6 months to get back to proper strength. Never again!

It absolutely destroys your nails, its expensive and its impossible to do housework etc
But its worth it if you love them
