Black opaque tights on a night out - what shoes??

Not sure what would look good with black opaque tights for a Christmas do.

Help!

whatever you go for please make sure it isn't open toe. A no no in my book with tights. Other than that there is an awful lot of choice. It rather depends on what you are wearing apart from the tights.

Any type of shoe really... I wear peep toe black shoes with opaque tights (wouldn't wear nude colour shoes with them though) never a full sandal either. I'd wear any colour shoe with them too as long as it was a proper shoe not sandal.
Shoe boots look fab with them as it looks like your legs go on forever.

I think the best thing with black opaque tights is black boots. BUT as others have said, it depends what else you're wearing. Not just tights presumably?!

In that case I think boots! Slim fitting, decent heel.

Do shoe boots not make your calves look big - I am a size 16 but tall and my legs are fairly good but my calves can look big if not careful

Spooky... I'm a 16 but not tall.. & as long as the shoe boots show some ankle or open a bit on the foot (some sort of come open to a v bit like a collar) then they are flattering but more like an ankle boot do nothing for me with tights & a dress but fine with jeans.

Black patent high courts for a party IMO. I hate shoeboots with a dress for a party, just looks wrong like your legs have been cut off at the ankle! Shoeboots are for wearing with trousers or jeans

I love peep toes with black opaques!

Something about it makes me a bit queasy and I can't stop looking at the toe in tights through the peep hole thing. Am guessing it's me that has the problem!

I like ankle boots with opaque tights and a dress during the day, but think for an evening do patent high heeled courts look more dressy - any colour.

Ooh yy to suede, to me shoes while interesting, are primarily about making my legs look good. So for that reason, no to shoeboots!
