is this summer dress ok for winter 'do'

I have this in boden broderie dress in navy so slightly less summery but would i get away wearing it with a cardigan for a winter event or will it look strange?!

What's the event? It's not what I would think of as a 'do' dress tbh. You mentioned a cardigan. What were you thinking of for legs and feet?

It's a christening then family meal at nice hotel. I would wear tights and shoes (obviously) but not sure what sort. My kids think it would be ok but what do they know!!
