Wool and angora scarf, is there a way to stop shedding?

I have bought a lovely wool and angora scarf and I expected it to shed a bit but it is shedding lots all over clothes! Is there a way to reduce the shedding? Tia

Sheds like crazy! And by the end of the day it is literally up my nose, making my nose itchy and sneezy!

I have heard if you put the item in a freezer for a few (3, I think) hours it cuts down on the shedding. Have done this but I haven't worn the cardi yet.

What percentage of angora is it?

It is only 8% angora, thanks I will try the freezer

Maybe - unless the label says otherwise - washing it a few times, maybe with some fabric softener added, will help?

Yes it can be machine washed so I'll try washing it then freezing it, thank you.

Washing definitely helps. I've got an Angora mix jumper and the fluff even ended up on my eyelashes! But after a cold wash and a few minutes in the tumble dryer on the cold setting, it's now wearable and has stopped shedding.

Well I have washed the scarf and tumble dried it on cool for 10 mins then let it dry naturally and it worked! I have been wearing the scarf today and the shedding is much reduced and is now wearable so thank you for the advice
