Mine are currently 'mink' which is a browny pink wasn't my choice as a friend did them. Always though that red was the only acceptable choice. Does any colour go? Shuld it match your flip flops/sandals or just be neutral. Please help me in this v.unimportant matter!

Mine are very dark plummy purple atm.

Carmenere · 02/07/2006 21:07

I think red is the best really.

Gobbledigook · 02/07/2006 21:09

Gingerbear · 02/07/2006 21:09

Carmenere · 02/07/2006 21:10

Oh no, I am going to have to buy it now!!

Flamesparrow · 02/07/2006 21:11

I like mine to be compatible with what I am wearing, but that normally only happens on a night out. They are currently also "mink" but more of a goldy brown...

Piffle · 02/07/2006 21:12

I do allsorts whatever the fancy takes me
I love the maybelline water shine range
I do pinks blues purples shiny bronzey browns
I love it!

Beauregard · 02/07/2006 21:13

mine are lilac/silver

pesme · 02/07/2006 21:18

red definitely, though probably not growing out and chipped like mine!

womblingalong · 03/07/2006 15:58

Bright Red/Plum/Rouge Noir are the best IMO, hate french pedicure, think it looks a bit tacky

puff · 03/07/2006 16:06

I don't like deep colour nail varnish, so tend to go for light colours

Agree that french manicure looks odd on toes, but don't like it on hands either

CarolinaMoose · 03/07/2006 16:10

depends on your skin colour really.

My feet are v v pale, so I go for rouge noir or bright red generally. Atm I've got Boots 17 Chilli Pepper on, which is a bright orangey-red so a bit more summery. If I had a tan I would prob go for something shimmery.

tallmummy · 03/07/2006 16:15

Mine are a dark shimmery browny/red. Boots 17 Amaretto - cheap but lasts better than a more expensive one I sometimes use. My feet are very tanned as I rarely wear shoes, hence the need for a dark colour - it hides the dirt.

sweetmonkey · 03/07/2006 16:17

i had a lovely pedicure done yest with a french manicure on them. they look v nice and i have had lots of comments today

snowleopard · 03/07/2006 16:21

Oooh picking a new toenail colour and doing yourself a pedicure every so often is one of the delights of the summer.

I like lovely muted pinks, and dark pinky reds, and kind of champagne/creamy beige colours can look very polished and classy on toes. Also have a sparkly orange one that I love. Anything goes for toes! Put a layer of clear on top once it's dried for really glossy stained-glass look.

Sugarpop · 03/07/2006 16:23

bronze to look golden and sunny with the weather

MadamePlatypus · 03/07/2006 17:03

Depends on your colouring. I have quite pale (celtic) colouring so on me I like darker colours. I think if you have darker colouring you can get away with more beige/bronze colours. Also, as your toes aren't on display as much as your hands, why not go for blue, gold, silver - I'm actually quite likeing RubyRioja's suggestion!

crazydazy · 03/07/2006 17:10

I've got a gold bronze on and I looove it, I have every colour you could imagine though as I bore very easily.

Never wear it on my fingers though, find it chips far too easily and looks grubby the next day!!!
