Dp, new job, Christmas party - help!

My dp started a new job earlier in the year as an office manager for a BIG company (nothing exciting just big Wink)
Anyway....it's their Christmas do at the end of November and from what he says, will be attended more by the management (right to top of company-eek!) rather than the 'phone girls'
I don't want to embarrass him, but he doesn't really know anyone well enough to ask what their wives/gfs will be wearing.
So do I go full length?
Knee length but 'dressy'?

I'm 5ft 4, size 8, small boobed, quite good legs...

It's at a naice golf club if that makes any difference?

Anyone?

I'm not exactly looking for links to specific dresses (although would be great), just advice on which way to go really....
The thought of being overdressed is almost as bad as rocking up in a knee length dress to find everyone else in full on posh frocks Hmm

'The phone girls'. Confused

KenDoddsDadsDog · 17/10/2013 07:28

One sleep - you took the post right out of my fingers!

PervCat · 17/10/2013 07:29

i rose above the phone girls
Lol bit seriously - the golf club - its hardly the cafe de paris

Whereisegg · 17/10/2013 07:46

Sorry for describing the girls that answer the phones, as the phone girls.

They are all 17/18 and this is how they refer to themselves.
I should have used the term young women perhaps, so sorry for any offence caused.

And thanks for essentially laughing at my dilemma.
Appreciate it.
I, of course, realise a golf club isn't the height of sophistication, but doesn't mean I don't want to dress appropriately.

How old are you? I think probably above the knee too.

This is lovely on, it's Lipsy and comes in turquoise/teal and cream as well. They are on the Next site if you want to look.

I'm a 5ft7 size 12, and that dress looks far better on me than on the skinny tall model. There aren't a lot of dresses I could say that about!

Whereisegg · 17/10/2013 08:11

Thanks peaches.
I'm early 30's.
