Hi. can anyone recommend some black opaque tights that a truly, completely opaque? Is 100 denier as high as they go on the denier scale? I want some that are almost leggings type, but that aren't shiny, and are , well, just very, very, black!

I got some cotton feel ones from Tesco recently, only worn them once so can't comment on longevity. They were very black, but not as thick as proper wool cable knit ones.

I have 140 dernier tights like these so comfy and nice and warm! Very black too - not really legging material though - more very thick tights

I think the trick is to buy them bigger than you need so they have to stretch less iyswim.

I bought these from Tesco - not worn as yet but feel very thick and warm! Only £6 too. wish they came in more colours.

The Primark 125/140 denier are my tights of choice, I stock up every year. £3.50 a pair.
