Dying my hair bright red

Am I insane? Having a wobble! Anyone else got bright hair?

I have bright pink hair and love it. I would say go for it. There is a brill website called haircrazy, which sells some good longer lasting dyes. Good luck.

I had bright pink hair for about twenty years on and off (it's naturally red) but got bored last month and dyed it blue. I bloody love it. :)

Special FX Nuclear Red is a really nice long lasting bright red dye if you're looking about for one! :)

I've got l'oreal magicontrast in magenta red
Am naturally sort of auburn colour

Another one with bright hair here. It's currently deep blue/purple but in the past it's been orange, pink (of various shades), green and turquoise

I can highly recommend this forum, it's a great source of information for all things bright hair.

DH does mine at home, I bleach the roots every eight-ish weeks and do a full re-dye then. I also touch up whenever I feel it's getting a bit faded. That's the beauty of the true semi permanent dyes as you can use them as often as you want whereas box dyes you're a bit restricted with how often you can use them.

You can use true semi permanent dyes (like Special Effects, Manic Panic, Directions, Crazy Colour, Adore) over the top of box dyes to brighten them up a bit as well.

True semi permanents have no developer and nothing in them is at all damaging, in fact my hair feels nicer post-Manic Panic than it has after any conditioner I've tried yet

Yeah I got a bottle of crazy colour in Fire in case I need it!
