Dilemma about return or repair a coat

I got my beautiful Merrell Ellenwood insulated coat in Ink Heather last December. I get a lot of compliments on it and I love it, although I don't find it brilliantly warm, tbh.

The lining has sadly split along a seam. I'm not sure whether to try to repair it (which might not work) or get a refund (but no one stocks the ink heather colour any more Sad. ).

Thoughts?

If you love it, get it fixed. Would a company refund almost a year on? Does that brand come with a guarantee or something? Maybe ring ME's HO and explain the issue and see -seeing as the coat is now unavailable - if they will reimburse you the cost of a repair (can't see a decent tailor not being able to fix it if it's along the seam)? :)

Return if you can you have said it is not that warm and a seam has gone in less than a year more will follow.

Thank you both. I appreciate both those points. Thanks
