tights/shoe colour with a blue/teal dress?

My rather lovely boyfriend has funded a new dress purchase as I've been complaining that there are no nice dress to breastfeed in and got this number, which has now arrived and I love it - the colour is a bit more teal than the photo shows...
I intended to wear it with my long brown boots and brown tights, but just tried on and the boots no longer fit post pregnancy
I can't afford to replace some full length boots, but I did need some nice shoes/shoe boots/ankle boots anyway.
But I'm not sure what colour to get - have seen plum/aubergine tights recommended with blue dresses on here - but what colour shoes would you then put with them?
Any recommendations on colour or even style of shoe? and then the colour of tights to match with it?

There are patterned tights in loads of colours too. I think brown footwear is going to be more versatile for you.

I have some lovely ribbed, rust-brown tights that I got veeeeery cheap in Forever 21 (but it was last year), that would look lovely.

I would just go on a tights hunt. I would go for a single colour, but patterned eg. ribbed or other.

Agree with a brown boot. I think grey too cold for teal personally.

Purple tights would look fabulous. Especially patterned/textured ones.

Have just parked up at the Trafford centre - am off on the hunt for an ankle/shoe boot and then some tights that will bring the two together!
Will keep checking in in case there are some more fab recommendations... I hate shopping so I will need regular coffee/cake stops!

Have a look in diechmann they have so very nice knee length boots in in brown for 19:99 I think also m and s have some purple boots in for a bit more

Just home - have bought some plum suede ankle boots - I lurve them!
There were some nice brown boots that would have been much more practical but decided to be frivolous.
Got a pair of plain plum tights but may take a look for something a bit more patterned/lacy or a complete contrast colour to give me a 'second' outfit.
