Can anyone tell me about Uniqlo?

I was just looking at their website and think the jumpers look lovely and very reasonably priced.

I was just wondering about sizing, do they come up small or large. I'm usually a size 10 on top.

Also what is the quality like?

TIA

I think I find sizing about average but have bought tops rather than bottoms. I have had one of their thermally-type long-sleeved t-shirts for two years. It is a pretty petrel blue, looks great on display and is really warm and cosy. I keep looking on the site for others!

I am quite annoyed with their website as on the thermals front page they have a picture of a woman wearing a petrol blue thermal polo neck but it's not available in that colour. Angry

I want that colour. Angry

I am a size 10 and wear size S in their tops, but buy the Heattech in M, now, as it is a bit longer than the S. HTH. Size down for jeans - I think I am size 26 in them.

I've had lots of things from Uniqlo and the quality is excellent. The merino wool is lovely and I really recommend the extra skinny jeans, long though & need shortening unless you're 5'10. Can't say what size a 10 would be as I'm unfortunately notGrin but their sizing chart is very accurate. Kids clothes are new but all the stuff I've ordered in the last month has been fab.

I am currently in love with their legging trousers. Have bought 4 pairs in the last fortnight and I can't say I won't buy more yet Blush.

Agree with the above re sizing. As an 8-10 top, 10-12 bottom, I buy S in tops and knitwear and M in bottoms (or 27 in the ultra-stretch jeans).

MaryLou I'm a shortarse at 5'2", so would definitely need to shorten!

Thanks for all the advice. I'm going to order a few jumpers and see how I get on.

Billy I hate it when companies do that. It should be against the law!

I am a 12 and a medium merino knit is a bit big on me, quality is fab for the price

The colour online is completely out of kilter with the colour instore.
And the lighting where we went was yellowy Hmm

I bought my DD one of the featherdown jackets (no collar or hood. It was about £39) Absolutely featherlight but so warm.

I'm a 14 tophalf, I bought a couple of T-Shirts in Large.
I tried the down jacket in Large but I'd have been more comfortable going to XL. (For driving etc. I have very long arms)

I have a merino jumper from Uniqlo and wash it on a handwash 30 cycle with a low spin, it's survived its first year and hopefully will do this winter too. They don't do it now but it's got narrow ribbed sleeves, a boat neck and boxy wide body - wish they still had it.

ceeveebee · 13/10/2013 22:28

Excuse - if you can get to one of their shops they will shorten trousers/jeans for free, only took them 2 hrs to do at the Oxford Street branch.
I love uniqlo, their knitwear is lovely and great for the price. I'm 5'1" and size 10 top, s is fine for me.

ExcuseTypos · 14/10/2013 09:45

Thank you everyone. I've order 2 jumpers in a S, so fingers crossed.

I'm due to visit London in November, ceevee so I'll definitely go and have a look instore. I love the idea of a shortening service, my trousers are always too long.
