I'm sure there is a thread about how dreadful/granny boorish these are, but I fancy a pair and have a code.

I have a pair of cardi uggs which I'm sick of now (4 years old) but I lived how comfy they were.

I'm currently losing weight with low carbing (thanks BiWi!) and want to renew a bit. I'm still a 16 and have shapely legs, thin ankles etc. but I have to be careful about where boots finish. Also, not all styles are wide enough, but many are.

I'm a SAHM, walk a lot and literally live in jeans, although mainly boot cut.

Would I be mad to fork out for these? Will they look ridiculous with my White Stuff dresses and straight leg jeans? Are they comfy? Frumpy? Hard wearing?

Very hard wearing. I have the shortie boots as house slippers and I've worn them for 4 years, they wash brilliantly.

I also have the block heeled ones for smart, also fantastic quality.

I was thinking these, not sure how flattering the regular height would be or whether calf would be too tight.

Need to find a stockist nearby, but it'll no be in this tinpot town!

I bought the knee high ones last year, they're great!

Are they spacious? Like I said, I'm no twiggy and I need jeans to tuck in comfortably even though iwear straight leg not skinnies.

No, I don't think you'd tuck straight leg jeans in. My calves are quite small & they are a close fit on bare legs. They are also very tall. I know I'm a shorty shanks, only 5'1", but they come up right onto my knees.
