of any sort, including stuff in a bottle and ones where professionals do it. I have absolutely no idea about these things. I have a sneaky feeling none of it is even called fake tan any more. just very subtle. for a pale skinned lass

don't the WAG's swear by Fake Bake? personally I find Johnson's is fine or Dove, just exfoliate carefully and apply a bit at a time to build up a tan rather than a Donatella Versace look!

Has anyone used the Olay one?

FairyMum · 01/07/2006 10:21

St Tropez. No contest!

LucyCampCat · 01/07/2006 10:23

Ok so where can I buy St Tropez at a reasonable (cheap!) price?

Ledodgyherring · 01/07/2006 11:08

I've used St tropez and Fake bake and fake bake is the only one that gives me a no streak natural looking tan. I'm rubbish at putting tan on so it was hit and miss with St Tropez although it does give a nice colour I still think fake bake is the best. I have naturally pale skin and after one application of fake bake I look like I have got a lovely non-orange tan and people have asked me if i've been away or been on a sunbed funnily enough not one has asked me if i've put fake tan on.
God I should be getting commission from them because I keep advertising them on here! Honestly though it is brill.

Ive tried St tropez, my dh got it for me for xmas one year. It looked fine albeit a bit dark on me as im fair skinned. It didnt work well on my legs though. Ive recently used the johnsons holiday sun and it worked well although i just did my top half! i dont know what it turns out like on the legs yet.

bobsmum · 01/07/2006 12:53

I've been using the Olay face one for the last week and I' am sooo pleased with the results. Dh said I was looking "all glowy and lovely" yesterday. It's really subtle; even after me using it every day for a week. I'm very fair skinned, but with dark hair. Johnson's holiday skin on the rest of me - not so impressed with that - still a hint of orange.

BigSister · 01/07/2006 13:00

I´ve used the Clarins one for a few years. Spray on and smooth over just to ensure good coverage. Haven´t seen the need to change. It doesn´t smell at all; I think people complain the St. Tropez one does..

2mum · 01/07/2006 13:04

The johnsons one smells a bit too. I cant describe the smell i suppose its just a fake tan smell.

TwinsetandPearls · 01/07/2006 13:06

I have tried them all I like st tropez because I can moisturize it down for my face.

I think fake bak gave a better tan on my body but wasn't rigt on my face.

THis year am using the Lancome aerosol which gives a gorgeus colour and has a gel you can use on your face. It is £18.50 a can but I can only get one full body and an arm out of a can so works out the same as St Tropez.

DebbsyandBibby · 01/07/2006 13:08
