What to do with my hair?

I'm nearly 43 & I think i need to go for a shorter style now but I have no clue. My hair is currently about 2 inches below my shoulder. It's thick, fine & has a bit of a wave. I find it hard to control or style, partly because I'm rubbish at styling it & also because of lack of time. My DH likes it long & I like having some different options for how to have it but I think it might be starting to look at bit ridiculous now. I don't have a pretty face or delicate features so don't think very short hair would work. I need to look professional for work. What can I do that isn't going to make me look dull & middle aged?

Firstly, do not have it cut just because you feel that at your age you should. It is not the law. However... If you would like a change, (and I am in a similar position) how about a choppy, casual bob? The bob used to be dull but there are so many fantastic versions around now, many of which look pretty low maintenance.

My hair is similar to yours and I've just had this done.

Easy to look after and always looks good even if I can be bothered to style it

Speak to a good reccomnded hairdresser ask their opinion and tell them what you want ie lemgth but manageable. What about colour a few layers and new colour can make a huge difference :)
