What's the men's equivalent of Hobbs?

Hello
DH is despairing about where to get clothes. He doesn't like any branding really, and has things from boden, Howies, etc.
He is too old for French Connection, and too young for lots of Joules.

I reckon he needs the male equivalent of Hobbs or Jigsaw. Any ideas?

How about Jaeger or Cos.

CarolineKnappShappey · 12/10/2013 20:51

Jaeger sounds good. I didn't know that Cos did men's clothing . Will google.

Jigsaw do men's clothes now I think

Chubfuddler · 12/10/2013 21:00

Menswear department of John Lewis - various labels, gant, joules, tommy hillfiger, Ralph Lauren, that kind of thing

ShoeWhore · 12/10/2013 21:27

Reiss? (If he can afford it)

LaydeeC · 12/10/2013 22:44

Reiss or Gant

How old is old enough for Joules?! It's my DHS favourite shop and he's 26!!

Also Jaeger ( for smarter stuff), crew, massimo dutti, gap.. Men don't have much choice actually do they?!

vix206 · 13/10/2013 06:47

My dh is exactly the same op. Generally he buys online from American brands. His favourite is 'Our Legacy' for shirts but they are v pricey. Occasionally he will find things in Reiss, Jaeger, Cos and has bought some lovely winter jumpers from Jack Wills (it is very young but dh is 36 and often finds jumpers in there).

He also hates any branding or anything trendy. It's a nightmare finding clothes for him but I do love how smart he looks.

msrisotto · 13/10/2013 06:48

Crew?

vix206 · 13/10/2013 06:49

Oh and just remembered he's had a little luck in Gap and Zara in the past. Not lots of clothes from them, but a couple of bits.

msrisotto · 13/10/2013 06:55

Banana Republic as a smarter alternative for Gap?
Tommy Hilfiger?
Paul Smith?

Chubfuddler · 13/10/2013 07:15

And for basics m & s menswear is much better than their womenswear.

Jigsaw definitely do men's clothes. DH has had a few things from there this year.

J crew have some good things. Free UK delivery and returns but US based so slow and a bit more hassle.
