£50 voucher for Next - what on earth shall i buy?

Wenchelda · 12/10/2013 14:30

For some reason my MIL keeps buying me Next vouchers (no idea why as i'd never bought anything from there until she gave me the first one a few years ago) ... I don't particularly like their clothes and have just ended up buying a couple of tops in the sale with vouchers she has given me before.

I could do with some new perfume, jeans, cardy's, maybe pj's/slippers but nothing specific. I'm 5ft 2, size 12 top/14 bottom.

Any recommendations? Thanks

Sorry not very original but a couple of pairs of skinny jeans Smile

LazyGaga · 12/10/2013 14:35

No recommendations sorry- bit difficult without knowing your personal taste/style Have a look online to see what you like?

FacebookWanker · 12/10/2013 14:36

I would go for PJs. Their adult clothes are awful.

NewNameforNewTerm · 12/10/2013 14:50

I'd go for homeware! Sorry, but I had a huge trying on session in Next and was so disappointed. All was crap. That or buy Christmas presents there and use your Christmas present budget to buy yourself something from somewhere else.

CaptainSweatPants · 12/10/2013 14:53

I still wear their jeans
£20 for a pair of bootcut

Either that or 50 birthday cards Grin

You could stock up on scarfs, slippers, candles etc for Xmas presents

Reed diffusers

Mumof3girlys · 12/10/2013 15:03

I don't generally shop there for myself but recently brought a really nice lightweight wool animal print jumper dress, in the peitie second £26!

I love there homewear section, reed diffusers and pj's are usually ok

petalsandstars · 12/10/2013 15:48

I bought a thin knit cardi today. There's some nice jumpers and cardigans. Or homeware.

StephenKatz · 12/10/2013 16:42

I recently bought this cord skirt in black and it's a really nice length (although I'm 5"5)

Also got these skinnies in 'mink' and they fit nicely.

I literally liked nothing else in the ladies section of the catalogue!! although their home ware is gorgeous

PervCat · 12/10/2013 16:44

oh there is MASSES to like there atm
Go on the thread " lets talk about clothes " for a couple of them
Plus there was a I hate next kind of thread a couple of weeks ago - where we found lots of nice stuff

ellesabe · 13/10/2013 16:37

I think their perfumes are really nice...I think there was a thread about that recently too.

GrandPoohBah · 13/10/2013 16:43

The Christmas duvet set with the stags. Or their wrapping paper. Or Christmas decs. Basically, their Christmas stuff is ok, but I wouldn't get any clothes!

mysteryfairy · 13/10/2013 17:07

They sell lots of branded stuff including beauty and electronics so you could get something that wasn't actually theirs.

FacebookWanker · 15/10/2013 11:46

That cord skirt is quite nice...

PrimalLass · 15/10/2013 12:09

I would buy two pairs of relaxed skinnies.

mojojomo · 15/10/2013 13:42

Their children's clothes are good so if you have any babies or youngsters to buy for I'd spend them on that.

I also have Next vouchers to use. I saw bootleg and skinny cords for £22 that looked ok a few days ago. There's lots of polyester in-store which probably looks better online, so check the fabric composition if that annoys you.
