So, I don't like Kim Kardashian...but I love LOVE her hair.

I've never ever wanted to go blonde before. I have incredibly pale skin, but very dark features. (Dark hair, dark eyes/ good dark eyebrows and strong features).

Now, here are my concerns: 1. Where would I go in central London that can do this dye job affectively?

  1. Can I do this before I have my baby (due in 5 weeks)
  1. How do I manage to NOT have damaged hair. Currently I have amazingly thick un-damaged hair that I've cared for my entire life. There isn't a single split end in sight and I like having healthy hair. It's the only thing about me that works.
  1. How bad do you think it would look if I'm not covered in bronzer?

I don't know who kim hardashian is. I buy nice and easy - HTH x

MikeLitorisBites · 12/10/2013 12:15

Nice and easy wont make your hair lighter.

I'm coveting her hair atm too and was just about to start a thread so I'll lurk on yours instead.

I've had highlights in my very dark hair once before but they were very fine. I want a more over all colour this time.

I'll link her and her hair.

Wont the upkeep be expensive and time consuming?

I am pretty sure that a lot of kim's hair is actually hair extensions. She can afford the best and will have a hairdresser at her beck and call.

MikeLitorisBites · 12/10/2013 13:39

Im scared! The upkeep does not bother me as my hairdresser is fab and very cheap.

I have very long (bum length) hair that is really dark with a touch of red. Im scared of going orange.

storytellinganimal · 12/10/2013 19:35

Kim K uses extensions.

LydiaDeetz · 12/10/2013 19:49

Please don't! If you have amazing undamaged hair it will be gorgeous anyway. I used to have highlights and after my DD was born I honestly could not be arsed to sit in the hairdresser chair having foils (also expense of up keep on mat leave pay). I would rather have been sleeping or just relaxing in my baby free time. My hair has grown out now and I would consider having some v. v. subtle highlights again. Your hair might change and fall out after pregnancy (mine did but is so thick, it wasn't noticable). Good luck with your baby Smile

MerrilyMoo · 12/10/2013 20:33

No way would I swap naturally healthy, lovely hair for Kim's style. Theyre extensions! And its a dip dye. It'll be out of fashion in the blink of an eye, she will repace her extensions...and you'll be left with a blonde mane you dont want any more!
