For the second year running, I am struggling to find a lovely, warm coat for my 10yr old dd.

Can anyone recommend one?

What sort of thing are you looking for? Colour, length, waterproof, hooded...?

I love Boden duffles, they are expensive but extraordinary quality.

We have uniqlo parka, John Lewis parka here, have had JL duffles in the past

North face long down coat - light and very cosy - or Lands End, which has similar coats but much cheaper.

DD has an O'Neill ski jacket for everyday stuff.

My 11 year old DD has a barbour international for school - still doesn't regularly wear it though. It's a child's one so was a reasonable price.

She has a jack wills sale puffa jacket for weekends which is very warm. Last year she had an Abercrombie coat from the children's section which was really warm but quite neat looking.

Ducky - I'm looking for a longish, hooded, waterproof, warm coat that actually looks nice too. Last year she had a Gap coat, but it ripped at the arms after only a few months, so won't be any good to use this year.

Thank you for all the suggestions, I have had a look at them all.
