Has anyone bought Uggs on ebay and they haven't turned out to be fakes?

I really really want Ugg Kensingtons. There are some on Ebay but I've read that nearly all Uggs on ebay are fake now. The seller I've seen has masses of 100% positive feedback.

Has anyone bought Ebay Uggs successfully?

I sold some real ones I'd never worn, check the pages on how to spot fakes. I would also go to a seller that is selling an individual (unused) pair rather than a distributor.

There's another thread on here somewhere and I'm sure the OP found UGG Kensingtons for a good price through M&M sports.

SundaySimmons · 08/10/2013 10:24

Yes, I bought a pair and they were not fakes. Guy had been to New York and bought two pairs for his wife and daughter but got the sizes wrong. He sent the receipt and I compared the boots to many that I own and they were the real deal.

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2013 10:28

I have bought 2 pairs of genuine uggs from eBay! One from a woman who had been gifted the same pair twice. It came with the receipt and everything.
Do your research before you buy and make sure the seller shows photos of the sole, the back and the hologram inner label.

conkertheworld · 08/10/2013 11:01

Thanks. I looked at the seller and she only sells Uggs. SHe shows the sole with the raised insignia thing, and mentions the hologram, they come in a box etc. Her feedback is all for Uggs and they all say thanks, genuine etc. But from what I've read it would be hard to get a supply of Uggs and Deckers don't allow them to be sold on Ebay. The Kensingtons are hard to get hold of though.

I think if it was a case of an individual who had an extra pair I would be more comfortable.

Am v. tempted though. Had them last year and warm feet all winter, no faffing with socks Smile.

How much is the seller asking for them? Or can you link to the item? One of us could have a look for you I'm pretty good at spotting a fake ugg and I'm sure others are very good too.

conkertheworld · 08/10/2013 11:13

Thanks gagglagirl, here they are.

THey do look genuine, but I'm worried she could have used stock photos.

The hologram should be on the left boot, I think that one is on the right. Apart from that they look very convincing. If you have the slightest doubt then don't get them. Have you tried sole trader or office?

ihearttc · 08/10/2013 11:39

Ive just bought a pair of Ugg Kensingtons in that size (they are kids ones) from a proper retailer for cheaper than that. It was a independent childrens shoe shop and they were £120 if that helps at all.

Im sure they had them on the actual Ugg website for cheaper than that as well when I looked a few weeks ago. I wanted those rather than the adult ones as needed the zips on them.

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2013 11:44

Van mildert have them on line for £120!!!!!!!! In your size too.

mistyshouse · 08/10/2013 11:53

i bought some a few years ago and they weren't fakes

but i am looking for some on there at the moment, and i have to say a lot on at the moment are fakes :(

also they all tend to sell for pretty close to the retail value so tbh i would just go and get some from office or somewhere as at least you will know they are real

conkertheworld · 08/10/2013 12:01

ooh Gaggiagirl YES! Do you know what youth size would fit me? I'm a UK5 but often take 37.

Which is the actual Ugg website? I know there are fake ones. I don't really mind paying full price.

OP posts:
gaggiagirl · 08/10/2013 12:09

Go for the 37 ie ugg 4.5 as uggs run big I'm a UK 5 and wear that size and I have a pair of kids ones in a 5 they are a wee bit big. It never hurts to try them on though. Big dept stores, office, USC and bank all sell them if you can call into a nearby one. The official ugg website is ugg.co.uk I think.

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2013 12:13

Tell a lie the official site is here

KatoPotato · 08/10/2013 12:20

LittleTulip · 08/10/2013 12:48

Ooh how interesting bout the youth sizes. I'm usually a 4 however tried in the ugg noira yesterday and they were tight, the 5.5 or 38 ft better.

I'm guessing the Kensington will be similar in size.

So are youth 4s and 5s similar to an adult 4/5?? That will save me mega bucks!

gaggiagirl · 08/10/2013 13:34

I think they run big especially the classics but everyones feet are different I suppose. When you're spending that much money its always best to try on. Try on some youth sizes to get a better idea of the fit. Kids boots are so much cheaper!
I've never tried a Kensington but they look gorgeous.

bishboschone · 08/10/2013 13:58

Have you tried kemsingtons on? They are a very tight fit , much smaller than the others. I would think there is every possibility they are real as they are an old style.

bishboschone · 08/10/2013 14:00

I have just looked at your link, I see the youths have A zip which may make them easier to get on. I have noira, and Tatum along with about 6 normal pairs. ( my feet don't like normal shoes) and I couldn't get the kemsingtons on my size 4 feet. I wear 4.5 in normal and 5.5 in leather uggs.

conkertheworld · 08/10/2013 15:01

V useful, thanks to everyone!

I think I might order the 4.5 in the youth sizes. I can't believe I paid full price last year when I could have got the kid ones. I like the zip too.

Bishboschone I had them last year and they were really tight at first but when they loosened up they were so comfortable Smile
