The impossible quest for new shoes - any ideas?

I need a new pair of shoes, fairly urgently (current pair literally falling apart).

They need to fulfil this apparently impossible set of criteria:

  • be slip on, as I have arthritis despite being in my 30s, so can't actually reach my own feet to do them up Hmm
  • look okay with socks on, as am frequently taking my shoes off/want to keep warm/can't be arsed to shave my feet. My current shoes are ballet pump style so look a bit wrong (I think) with socks
  • ideally be wide fit
  • not be too expensive, though tbh I'm wavering for the right pair of shoes

I don't think this is unreasonable but can I find shoes that do all this? Can I buffalo. They're to go mainly with jeans, occasionally a skirt. Best I've found so far are these pumps from White Stuff but not really my colour and sold out in my size.

Help me, Mumsnet!

I think they are out of stock but would something like this work? I googled slip on brogue.

Loving the name :) Not really a brogue or loafer fan though, sorry Blush Perhaps I'm more demanding than I thought!

Would any of these fit the bill?

I like the pink, not in my size :( Great site though - I like these but not sure if they can be worn with socks; also quite like these even though not a moccasin fan. Also these.

Perhaps the answer is to start wearing trouser socks instead, then I can just pick some ballet pumps from the several million available to me?

Or can I wear socks with these?
