My lovely 8 year relationship with my GHDs came to a tragic end this morning when they crashed and died on me Sad so now I need some new straighteners but cant afford to replace them like for like!

Found the Nicky Clarke desiRED on boots.com for half price and lots of the reviews compare them favourably to GHD but just wondered if any of you vipers owned them and what you thought?

I have them and got them after my ghds broke too. I always find them perfectly adequate straighteners, then I use someone else ghds and remember just how great ghds were!

It's hard to describe they do the job but not in the same way. Think maybe its that I don't get the same glossiness. If I had to get some again and could afford I would get ghds another time but the Nicky Clarke perfectly ok if budget is an issue. Sorry if that's not helpful!

Don't know about those but can vouch for these :

I had them but I sold them on eBay.

They are ok but not as good as ghd. Ghd are £89 on amazon.

Some of the online shops like shop rush or wantthelook or lookfantastic might have an offer on or you could register with them and see if they send you a 15% voucher in the next few days or look on topcashback to get a voucher plus cashback.

£79 on lookfantastic if you via topcashback. Free delivery.

Fluffy, the ones I linked to are as good as ghd. They are £40 from Boots at moment, the same price on Amazon too.

I have them but have never used GHDs so can't compare. My hair is very thick and wavy and they straighten it very well.

vegan I bought the babyliss ones. Cost me £30 squids with my discount and a £5 off electricals voucher.

I'd forgotten what its like to have luffly straight hair Grin definitely think the GHDs may have been well past it!

I cant seem to fit them in the storage pouch though

They're great aren't they?
Don't bother with the pouch, just wrap them up in the black heat mat as it's easier.
