Could i get a quick recap on using coconut oil overnight on my hair please?

Going to try it this evening. As far as i remember i am to slather my dry hair completely in coconut oil, leave overnight (do i wrap it in cling film or something?) then shampoo out in the morning (twice?) and condition as normal?

Is that right?

I use it on the mid length to ends, and I don't need to be that careful washing it out then, but my hair is really dry. I also use a touch after washing as a leave in conditioner.

I don't bother to cover in cling film, but I do cover my pillow with a towel.

i put it all over my hair and scalp

as its meant to be very good for your scalp

yes to towel over pillow trust me

then wash out in the morning. rinse thoroughly with very warm water for at least a minute or 2. then shampoo thoroughly but LEAVE THE SHAMPOO ON for approx 1 minute. then rinse out and shampoo again just normally

works for me

I did this last night and have lovely soft hair but just beware of the spots - have erupted on my forehead somewhat!

I'd also advise adding the shampoo dry to your hair initially and add a small amount of water until it leathers, then wash out.

lathers!
