black skinnies that suit curves

Hello S&B gurus,

I am looking for a pair of black skinny jeans that I can dress up for nights out. I am 5'1" and a curvy size. 10/12. on my bottom half. My bum always looks huge in trousers so I normally always wear skirts but feel the need for some versatile black jeans! I am quite pear shaped.

I tried on the next lift and shape jeans but they still made,my bum look huge. ( well, guess that's because it is) but. Wondering if there was an amazing jean out there!

Hi - only one I've tried and which suits me is H&M Skinny - forget which type exactly can look later. My black ones from H&M have a sort of light waxed finish (but are black jeans). They're what you are after I think.

depends on your budget cos you can go up. I think Gap do a nice black skinny too though. with jeans I tend to find you have to try on... and on and on.

also don't rule out styles like Gap real straight - my mum (who is I think same size as you but less pear shaped) well she got some real straight ones recently and they made her legs etc look VERY SLIM (she lives in Bootlegs).

ah - finally a great place to go if you're in London is Selfridges denim dept - they do EVERYTHING and even sell Primark jeans in there. very patient and if you want designer they have it, if cheaper (Primark) they have it too. I can vouch for them being great (Selfridges).

I'm a size 14 but with chunky thighs and calves and the only skinnies I've ever found which fit me and look reasonable are newlook ones.. Fantastically they are also the cheapest! I love in them 6 months of the year.

Was also hoping for a pair in petit so I didn't have to alter them but don't mind for the perfect fit !

I've just discovered the gap super skinnies. Fab jeans and work well on me with my curves . I'm a 12.

Topshop Baxter make me feel ok even at 5.8 and size 14 bottom.

I tried on one of the topshop jeans but don't think it wasbBaxter but the super soft ones which were too tight. Will have a squizz at those though at lunch this week !
