Black handbag with navy suit

If you can only afford one nice handbag you should get a black one , right? What if most of your suits are navy? I really don't want a navy bag and a white one just seems like burning money. Don't black handbags look shit with navy clothes? What about tan?

I wear a lot of navy for work (not as formal as suits though) and have a tan handbag. Orangey red or cream looks good too. I don't have a black handbag as have a bit of an aversion to black leather, but I do like navy and black together. I think though you have to make it look deliberate, so a navy blouse with black skirt, heels and bag.

I'd go for tan - goes with anything..

How about grey?

BillStickersIsInnocent · 05/10/2013 19:58

Ooh yes grey, I love navy and grey together.

MadameLeMean · 05/10/2013 20:00

Grey is a good idea - quite hard to find!

Oak (tan) goes with everything. Also works well in summer and winter.

Cognac
something like this

I have light grey patent lk Bennett sledge heels that I wear with either navy tweed skirt suit or navy wool trouser suit and nude tights. In winter switch to black tights and black suede heels. I also have black pencil skirt with grey/black tweedy jacket combo.
My only handbag at the moment is bright yellow which works but it's a little scruffy

Because it's old. Not cos it's yellow!
