They're mumboots!

dexter73 · 04/10/2013 20:46

I think Rainier probably knows what a mum boot looks like and those are definitely not mum boots!

Annianni · 04/10/2013 21:17

They are lovely boots sorry :o

RainierWolfcastle · 05/10/2013 08:11

Thanks dexter. As the inventor of the term I get final decision.

Think I'm liking the rocha best. Or also. Hm

Not mum boots. Smart gran boots! Sorry.

I am nearly 50 and would not wear them. The wooden hill screams smart granny to me.

dexter73 · 05/10/2013 10:31

Some fairly similar nan boots from Ash but they are suede rather than leather.

RainierWolfcastle · 05/10/2013 11:17

I dont really care if you like them! Grin
I wanted some advice on alternatives.

TheBuskersDog · 05/10/2013 11:23

The problem is even if you find a similar style the leather will not be as nice, that leather looks lovely and soft.

RainierWolfcastle · 05/10/2013 12:37

It's amazing

This whole ankle boot craze is starting to look a bit tired and hence they are becoming the safe boot of choice and are sliding into that safe, dull territory occupied by the mum boot, they are everywhere and they all look the same from a distance.

dexter73 · 05/10/2013 13:08

What do you think is a good alternative now, snowlie?

snowlie · 05/10/2013 13:42

I wish I could find an alternative, I'm so uninspired by winter footwear.

tethersend · 05/10/2013 13:47

What's your budget?

How much cheaper is worth it for the poorer leather?

tethersend · 05/10/2013 13:50

Have you tried the ubiquitous topshop ones?

RainierWolfcastle · 05/10/2013 13:57

i have a wedge trainer that i agree is less cliched

my ankle ones are three years old
