very narrow sport shoes/trainers?

Hi, DD1 (8) has been measured as a 2/2.5 D by clarks (and 3 C by startrite),
of course none of them have anything to offer. We have also tried tons of shoes in sports shops which are way too wide.

She has some ecco biom train which fits Ok but they are way too expensive, any ideas on how to replace them more cheaply?

Thanks

My dd measures a c width, she recently got these retro trainers from M&S.

She wears converse too - not sure if they are cheaper - but cheap shoes is not something I buy for dd - they just never fit.

Thanks Snowlie, the Ecco are fantastic but between 60 and 80 £ I am getting worried about leaving them at school, I just wants something that hold her feet so she doesn't hurt herself while running.
Converse are a too wide and she has pronation so need support around the heel too.
I know the feeling never cheap I am just hoping for cheaper!

Richter, Petasil and Ricosta have served us well - not sure they make trainers though and they are definitely not cheap!

We've had these before too.

Do you know if sport direct has shops? I can't buy without trying the whole shop first it is too risky!

They have shops but may not have this style in stock - which was my experience - I usually order a few pair in different sizes.

ecco have good sales or outlet shops if you can get to one e.g. trainers that are usually £50 - 60 reduced to £20.
