Would like a long, fitted blue dress

Hello! Please help me out you amazing fashionistas!

I'm quite tall and shoes are hard to come by in my size so I'm sticking with the navy low heeled shoes I aalready have and looking for a dress to match. This sounds crazy but trust me necessary. The style should have some interest around the neckline as I don't do necklaces and it should be midi length on me. Difficult as I'm very tall but still possible! If anyone knows of any places that cater for tall people re: evening wear would be much appreciated otherwise, well I've seen quite nice ones in Coast and L K Bennett. Sleeveless or long sleeved both fine. Belted or detail or lace yes. Tacky sparkly jewelly no. Would really love some suggestions! Usually I'm a 12. 32DD and possibly pear or hourglass not really sure tbh! Waist 30, hips 40.

Any good websites for searching? Thanks ladies you've really helped me out in the past when I was using a better username :-)

this?

..would do more but House Of Fraser website has just crashed anyway i'd recommend looking on there

Wow I wasn't expecting this dress to pop up! Is this good for my type of figure? Should say that I'm only going to the evening part of the wedding so that one may be too daytime-esque.

Try next tall, long tall Sally, tall girls, topshop tall, gap tall, j crew (tho not specifically 'tall' I have long enough skirts etc), coast, will keep thinking for specifically 'tall' shops I use!

Although I don't see why all these 'luxury' brands use such cheap synthetic materials. Viscose? Polyester lining? Nylon? Correct me if I'm wrong but if we're paying 80-400£ for a dress, we want at least a cotton lining and certainly a dress made from silk! ;-)

I saw this the other day. It might be cheaper than you were looking for but I think it would look lovely on and very nicce for a wedding.

Whitershadeofpale · 04/10/2013 15:44

No I'm not i'm afraid i just like them Smile

ProtectiveMother · 04/10/2013 16:01

Yes they are actually really nice. I don't know... do they not look a bit American, like swing style? I think I prefer the Euro styles (snob)

The little mother sucker - the Biba dresses are actually great! I missed one I liked in the sale in my size- dammit!
