BB/CC and DD creams are basically just tinted moisturisers.
The Asian ones are supposed to be really good (and some even have goodies like snail slime in) and are not just tinted moisturisers, but the Western ones are just tinted moisturisers.
BB (blemish balm/base, beauty balm, beblesh balm) ones have SPF - but then again, so do a lot of classic tinted moisturisers. And some people say that we don't use enough of the product to get the correct protection from makeup - I think we're actually supposed to use 7 times as much product to get the correct protection from tinted moisturiser/foundation.
I have one from Estee Lauder - it's fine, but it's just a tinted moisturiser with SPF - and I use SPF under it anyway.
CC are colour correcting. It's supposed to be a BB cream that deals with uneven skin tone better. I have one from Nip&Fab, and it deals with it by just sitting on top of the skin as an orange film. A product that works seems to be better than a new product with a fancy name.
DD stands for different things depending on the brand. It's basically a CC cream with anti-aging stuff in.
Personally, I'd rather spend the money on a couple of different products that each do one thing well instead of a product that do different things not so well. But that's just me.
