What shoes to wear with ankle length work trousers?

Bought some thick black straight leg work trousers from Sainsbury's yesterday and they seem a bit short. I think it is intentional to be fashionable. What shoes should I wear with them? My pointy ones look daft as do heels. Thanks.

I'd have said pointy heels tbh

Balack ballet flats and nude mary jane heels go with mine.

I wear pointy heels with my slightly shorter trousers. Or when it's really cold, long fitted boots under them.

I wear plain high black courts with mine.

This sort of thing might work, but I don't like them personally.

These would be nice.
