Maybe should have put this in Christmas but as it's for a birthday present..for a "very hard to buy for friend".... prompted by another thread just wondered if this might be an idea for her BD. My problem is that she is VERY into her toiletries, so might find it a bit naff. So question is a) who does them b) how much are they c) are they worth it???

Maybe do a search-from a recent thread someone said e.g. Benefit do for one day only a limited supply & £50 I think. I'd love ome but benefit girl at debenhams hadn't heard of them tho she wasn't there last Christmas.

Watching with interest.....

£50 outside budget, although if really worth it might think about it. Was thinking more like £30 but this friend doesn't 'do' Boots... (I do, just incase DH is reading this :-) )

A Christmas themed gift for a birthday is odd in my opinion.

Why not just buy a small selection of nice toiletries or one expensive item?

I think the Benefits one is new this year.
I saw a link (in the Christmas Thread there's posts about Beauty Advent) and alot of the gifts aren;t really my thing.
But Debenhams have lots of Benefit Gift Packs that look good,

Britishbeautyblogger.com has just commented on three of these advent calendars: Lancôme, Benefit and Boots.

thanks for the suggestions - will take a look. SundaySimmons - her birthday is at the beginning of December, hence thinking an advent calendar might be a good idea. Or is it naff? Just tryign to think of something a bit different.

These are great. About £30 iirc - also available direct from Ciate.

SundaySimmons · 01/10/2013 23:07

Ah yes, if her Birthday is in December. Sorry, I thought you were buying it for her now!

Yes, that would be really nice for her to open each day of December.

Latest in Beauty did a fab one last year (bought it discounted in Feb and had the best fun ever opening every window in a single sitting!).

Don't think this year's is out yet, but you might want to look at their other collections?

What a lovely idea - Wink
