Swimmers - what shampoo to get chlorine out?

I currently use Wella Purify but it's £12 a bottle and when you are going at least twice a week that adds up.....

Is there anything that works as well at getting chlorine out but which is cheaper??!

Boots do a good range of swim shampoos and stuff

I use ordinary but wear a hat.

A declarifying shampoo like Paul Mitchell number 2

Thanks all. I wear a hat too but not a latex one as it makes my head really hot. What price range is the Paul Mitchell, Pesto?

I've never found any shampoo to be at all effective in reducing the damage caused by chlorine

The Wella one I have now really is! I dye my hair and swim twice a week and it's shiny and not dry. The hairdressers always comment on it. But pricey.....

I've found it depends a lot on how frequently you swim and how much time you spend in the water, I was swimming 3 x per week for about 80 minutes of 'face in the water swimming' per session, and my hair was suffering.
Currently twice a week for 80 minutes and may hair is in better condition, I also have bleached/coloured hair

Boots swim shampoo after, and pre swim protective mask, and a coat of cheap copy frizzease under a polyester swim hat.

I can't remember as I shopped around and got it online when there was an offer on. I think it was about £8 for a 300ml bottle. I decant mine into a travel bottle for my gym bag.
