A MN challenge: advice on Chelsea boots for tights with skirts, AND trousers?

I've been wanting to buy a pair of chelsea boots for ages, but I'm still not entirely confident I'm going to get it right. And I can't afford to spend loads on a pair which don't look right.

Basically they need to be:

  • wearable with skirts and jeans
  • no more than £100ish, happy to shop anywhere, including from abroad or 2nd hand on eBay (size 6 feet)
  • black (better chance of going with dark tights/outfits)
  • probably heeled (i've got chunky legs, and notice that the totally flat ones make short chunky legs look bad on models I've noticed)
  • suitable for someone who's nearing 33

So far this week I've come up with the following options:

(1) Example 1... but they're sold out now.

(2) Example 2 but the auction has ended now.

(3) Example 3 but I'm not sure I like how rounded the toes are, and they're at the higher end of my budget.

(4) Option 4 but I fear they're getting too western style now.

Can anyone advise me on the chunky leg aspect, whether the examples I've given would work with skirts AND jeans, my age, etc?

To say I'm clueless about fashion would be an understatement, but I'm wanting to buy a pair of boots that I won't look like a right old bag in, rather than do as I normally do which is stick to ballet shoes all the time!

(oh, and for Example 2, you can click the boot to get better/different pictures - the main image used on the listing wasn't very good)

these are lovely

(Oh, and you'll also notice that i've chosen examples of heels which are cuban style, because i think it will help with the chunky leg aspect!)

I just bought a lovely pair from topshop for £62. Name of 'affanita'. Nice and wide so flattering. Bargain!

Noddy, those are gorgeous! I'm wondering if the colour is as dark IRL, it's listed as dark grey (and the black ones look like suede).

mamayaya, I think I've found them - here? www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/product/affanita-mid-heel-chelsea-boots-2093457

Also I just spotted these www.deichmann.com/GB/en/shop/home-ladies/home-ladies-shoes/00009001131206/Ankle%20Boot.prod although they're a bit flat I think?

Argh, I've now also spotted these which I like www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-AUTHOR-Leather-Chelsea-Ankle-Boots/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=2869786&cid=12708&Rf900=1562&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Black although they're flat ones! You can see why I've been thinking about this purchase for the last couple of months without buying anything, can't you!
