My lovely sister has given me £50 of vouchers for the local department store

I am going to get myself some nice make up

They sell Dior, Clarins, Clinique and Estee Lauder

Are there any must have products in those ranges?

I have very pale skin and like a good coverage. Tried Doublewear before and it made me look dead but am open to a good foundation and primer

I am happy with Masterpiece Mascara and have never found anything to better it but am open to suggestions

I would like to try a red lipstick but have always been a bit scared.

I also like fairly smoky eyes so maybe a good, black eyeliner?

What should I go for?

Any recommendations would be lovely! Since having DS I don't get to spend on myself that often so this is a lot of fun for me!

I love this, it's a little pot of loveliness.

It smells lovely and feels great.

Dior addict gloss is beautiful. More sublet than a lipstick and it has good staying power, more than a regular lip gloss.

Dior eyeshadow quints are always nice!!

Eyeliner - try Urban Decay if they stock it.
Foundation - Have you tried Bare Minerals?
Lancome Definicils mascara is the best I've ever tried - I buy MF when economising, but the Lancome is better.

Red lipstick go to Chanel and for smokey eyes Elizabeth Arden do an ah-mazing pencil that has a smudged on the ends. I know you didn't mention those brands but just on the off chance you hadn't spotted them in store I thought I'd suggest them.

Dior for mascara.

When buying a new base always take a tester pot away to try at home for a few days. Someone I know got through the whole of uni without buying any foundation because she always got a generous tester everytime she went to a department store and being in London there were loads. I am also pale and I can never find anything in the right shade from the brands listed. I like Bobbi Brown and Chanel.

Clarins do fantastic face oils. Now the weather is getting colder invest in one of those. Your skin will thank you Grin

Oh and if you don't wear blusher do. It makes you look well when applied properly. It doesn't really matter which brand. I usually buy a cheap one because it invariably get dropped/broken.

Go for a matt, rose pink colour (about two shades brighter than you think you want) or a coral colour if you're pale.

Since I switched back to my autumn blusher after a shimmer stick thingy I used in the summer with bronzer, people keep telling me I've lost weight because my face is thinner. I haven't lost weight I've put some on! at all!!

Righty :)

I think I have decided on a Clarins face oil and a Dior mascara and I will treat myself to some Lancome foundation (I used the Tient Idole before and liked it) and maybe put a red, chanel lippy on my list to Santa :)

Thank you all for the tips! Thanks
