I need stylish and warm ideas! I'm thinking of getting a beret. What will you wear?

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 27/09/2013 21:55

Hair...

I am tempted by a slouchy beret though

YoniTime · 27/09/2013 21:55

Dexter Grin

I'll be wearing a cashmere beanie from Cos.

dexter73 · 27/09/2013 22:16

I did actually buy it! I had to!

Imwoodword · 27/09/2013 22:25

I have literally just ordered this but also have a crocheted headband type thing just to cover my ears.

Wish if bought that headband now though! Grin

The blardy gorge vintage fox fur hat I got the other day.

TheBuskersDog · 28/09/2013 10:19

I like to wear a hat when doing playground duty on cold days, do you think the turban headband will do the job?

YoniTime · 28/09/2013 10:33

I wish I had a vintage fox fur hat! They look great. Since many people are very aggressively anti-fur even when it's vintage I wouldn't dare to wear it though. It's sad, the fur industry is cruel but old stuff should be used IMO.

i have a green knitted hat from my DD but it's a bit scraggy now after four years use. am also looking at the cos cashmere beanie, have you ordered it snowlie? is it nice IRL?

dexter73 · 28/09/2013 11:55

I would just like you to know I have no intention of wearing it outside of the house apart from when I go to a fancy dress party next month! I do have a picture of the dog wearing it though Grin!!

Mintyfrog · 28/09/2013 12:35

Yoni if anyone asks I'll just say its fake.
If they deem to snatch it off my head to check, I shall club them with my pony skin shopper GrinGrinGrin

Imwoodword · 28/09/2013 13:24

Actually snorted at that.

LeoandBoosmum · 28/09/2013 14:50

Snowlie, like Foxysocks, I would like to know what the Cos beanie is like. I just ordered this (waffle stitch cashmere hat) but in navy from Whistles with the 25% off...

www.whistles.co.uk/search?performSearch=true&productsPerPage=60&keywords=waffle#product=903000060849

Hope I don't look like a tit. Grin If it looks rubbish I might send it back and order the Cos one if you recommend? :)

tethersend · 28/09/2013 15:31

I have a couple of these which I love, am going to get a beret and something like this (minus the terrifying face) for when it gets really cold...

ouryve · 28/09/2013 15:32

Most likely one of my many hand knitted hats. I might even get around to knitting myself another one.

ouryve · 28/09/2013 15:33

Love the brain hat, Sunday! :o

Hunfriend · 28/09/2013 15:36

Me too ouryve Grin

snowlie · 28/09/2013 18:25

Both the whistles and cos beanies are slouchy but the whistles one is slightly stiffer and doesn't fall as nicely as the Cos. Also the Whistles beanie is moss stitch but not very well defined, I preferred the rib stitch on the Cos, I haven't bought one yet but after trying both navy's, I'll be going with Cos, might even scare the neighbours and get a red one too.
