I'm not sure if my new DUO boots fit me or not

I am a UK size 5 with wide feet (23.5cm). I have recently bought a pair of Duo's Carvel boots in size 38 (which is a UK5). The heel area is so big that the boots are slipping around the heel. Also, I can slip them off and put them on without using the zip at all. this is not right, is it???

What does the morning crowd think?

No, doesn't sound right.

No, they sound too big. But would you be wearing them with thicker socks as the weather gets colder? If so, try a ski sock on with them, or whatever you would be wearing.

I say this as I bought some gorgeous Gabor boots last winter, which I tried on in the shop with a pair of thin cotton socks. Perfect fit. Unfortunately, the leather didn't stretch or give at all, and so I couldn't wear any other, thicker socks with them all winter. Which meanst that i didn't wear them again until Spring.

I think you're right. I'm a bit annoyed because it cost me £5 delivery to have them sent to me, it is going to cost me £4 to have them sent back (via collect +), and if I want to exchange them for another pair which may or may not fit, it's going to cost me another £5 delivery. I'm annoyed because clearly they're not a size UK5; I would have expected to have them not fit based on the width, the calf, the ankle, but the actual size???

If you talk to customer services and explain they may refund the delivery charge and waive the returns fee. Boden did this for me when an item was laughably mis-sized...

Plus if it's within 7 working days I think they have to refund you for the delivery charge under distance selling regs or similar...

I might try that, thanks penguin
