What shoes with skinny jeans?

It's too warm for boots at the moment. I know the answer is normally ballet flats, but I'm pathetically short and want something with a bit of a heel. Any ideas? (Don't say ankle boots: I know they're in, but I'm short all over with especially stumpy legs, and ankle boots will look somewhere out beyond terrible if I wear them with skinnies.)

I'm currently wearing these with my jeans. They call themselves ankle boots, but they're shoe boots in my book.

I'm 5'5 & I agree that ankle boots make petite women look short-legged & dumpy.

Wedges are a good way to give height comfortably.

I'm 'short' and live in ankle boots. I don't look remotely dumpy. Wear ankle boots with a generous heel, I feel fabulous. I've just bought a beautiful combo suede and leather from all saints, hugely expensive but there are some fab replicas on tk max and even m&s.

They just make your legs look shorter & if you're petite that's not ideal.

MortifiedAdams · 24/09/2013 21:52

Im just ploughing on with the ballet flats til the snow hits.

What about flatforms OP?
Ballet style but give a bit of height, I will try to link you to some

TessTackle · 24/09/2013 21:56

Ok, I'm looking for flatforms but none of what I meant are coming up :(

Haha, that made me laugh, honestly op. I still think you can wear ankle boots. I have a combination of thick heels, still lies and wedge ankle boots and they're all great. Try a range. I also love a nude and black high shoe. I'm a big fan of All Saints, Cos and Zara for us shorties :)

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 24/09/2013 22:25

Ash Spirals are gorgeous, bit of a heel and cut away at the front which avoids the stumpy loo of which you speak. I'm sure there's lots of cheaper equivalents around.

Have to say it's never occured to me to think anyone looks stumpy in them - a good trick is to match the colour to your jeans or tights if you're worried about it.

I got some suede shoeboots the other day fromm&s similar to the LK Benett ones upthread - brown suede (also in black leather). Will find link i abit.

M&S

ShootMeNowPlease · 25/09/2013 08:05

Thanks, all. Quite like those M&S ones (and I love the Ash Spirals, but they're out of my budget and they've been discontinued) - I need to go shopping wearing the jeans, I guess. Shotgun, if you've never thought anyone looks stumpy in them, all I can say is that you've never seen me!
