Nude shoes with black dress?

I have trouble buying shoes (wide, hideous feet) and I was browsing in a shoe shop yesterday when the unthinkable happened. I found shoes that fit.

They were wide fitting, only one style in stock but they had black, red and nude.

I need comfortable dressy-ish shoes to wear this weekend.

I would have loved all 3 colours but couldn't afford them.

I went with the nude as the most versatile but now I am wavering. Most of my dressy clothes are black but I do have a few things that don't suit black shoes.

Will nude work with black?

How wide is your foot? E, ee, eee?

Karbea · 24/09/2013 20:29

red in eee.

black patent court in eee.

It's not the delivery so much as returns. No free returns to Uk stores if not in Uk.

Have to pay postage and shoes work out expensive.

I think I'll just have to stick with my sad, prosthetic looking shoes Wink

I have the m&s stiletto courts (not in wide though) and can vouch they are comfy, and true to size Smile

Duo do wide fit shoes and boots and deliver overseas. Also have websites for France, Germany and Netherlands if that's any help.

OP, I too have the feet from hell. They're big, wide and I have bunions and very long toes like ET's fingers. Oh, and they're flat because I'm hypermobile so I have to wear orthotics, which means all my shoes have to have a strap or T bar. The rest of me is, I'm pleased to say, far more conventional - tall and quite slim, so if I'm not careful, my feet can look like hideous flippers.

I've had several pairs of shoes from Hotter. Some of their styles are very frumpy, but each season, they do one or two which look good and they're incredibly comfortable and well made. See what you think. www.hottershoes.com/en/Women/Heels?DisplayProductList=true

I ought to add that when I've bought from them by post, the people manning the customer service line were incredibly helpful about sizing. They took my foot measurements and told me what size and fitting I'd be best to buy in the styles I wanted.

Peaches, I really like the T-bar shoes you originally linked to, and agree you should get them in both red and nude. Think the red would look stunning with that dress.
