Are waterfall cardigans acceptable if you're preggers?

I'm due with DC2 in March so will be pregnant through the winter. But DC1 was born in September, so all my maternity gear is summery. Was thinking about layering up with this bad boy.

Is it okay or are we in Per Una territory?

Spookey80 · 22/09/2013 21:12

That looks lovely. I am also due in march and am already wearing ,u all saints cardi similar to that.

prettyinpink90 · 22/09/2013 21:28

That is really lovely! I've seen a few pregnant ladies in waterfall cardigans recently. I'm due in April and have just bought a waterfall faux fur gilet for winter (I'm 23 so not Per Una territory... I hope!)

SunnyUpNorth · 22/09/2013 21:39

Definitely! Waterfall and pregnancy are perfect partners plus you will be able to wear it again.

I was on the Hush website the other day and they had lovely ones too.

CountBapula · 23/09/2013 08:55

Sunny ooh yes, the Hush ones are lovely! I love this one.

The hush one countbapula has linked to is very nice. I wouldn't wear a waterfall cardigan as too aging on me but that is lovely and I would wear that.

treaclesoda · 23/09/2013 10:45

this is slightly off topic, but I was just looking at that Hush cardigan, it looks lovely and cosy etc, but how the hell can a cardigan cost £85 when its 25% nylon and 31% acrylic? I can understand high prices for quality fabrics, but I feel a bit faint at the thought of paying that for nylon and acrylic.

I love that Mint Velvet cardi.

toiletbrush · 23/09/2013 11:51

I love the Mint Velvet cardigans too but can't wear it as I'm not pregnant apparently Sad

What is it with Waterfall cardis, why such a no no?

NewBlueShoesToo · 23/09/2013 11:58

I loved mine when pregnant. You can wrap them round the bump and use afterwards, and great if breastfeeding.
On the minus side they are rubbish because they dangle into washing up water, food you are trying to serve up and children's baths! Smile

bigkidsdidit · 23/09/2013 12:14

I'd wear both of those and I'm not even pregnant

CountBapula · 23/09/2013 16:16

I agree, treacle. Seems to be par for the course these days :(

I love that mint velvet one. I already have a lovely Kew waterfall cardigan that I wear, before and now that I'm pregnant. stands up to the s&b crew
