Just had a disaster shopping trip with DS (nearly 6). He had some excellent Timberland leather trainers last winter. They were warm, waterproof and very rugged. I got them in TK Maxx, so paid about £20 for them. Bargain!
However, he's now outgrown them and I'm trying to replace them with something similar but finding it very hard. All the high street shops seem to have ridiculously impractical shoes for winter. Very flimsy, with smooth soles. Tons of stupid characters and neon laces.
Where on earth do people buy decent, practical shoes for boys to wear when it's damp and muddy?! I need something rugged and outdoorsy, without breaking the bank. Geox look fabulous but about twice as much as I can afford...any suggestions?
