red herring skinny cords

I bought a pair today and they are fab!

How are they around the calfs? I have chunky calfs and have trouble with skinnies.

I saw cords in different colours in H&m with my daughter and remembered wearing them in the late 1970s/early 1980s! My daughter tried on a green pair and we bought them as they looked lovely on her.

I am not a green person and didn't think I would be seen dead wearing cords again, but the look is very nice for autumn winter.

The red herring ones look lovely as well.

Well I have to say I think the sizing is generous. I'm a size 10 but every other skinny trouser that has been recommended has been awful on me. Far too tight, legs look like two sausages etc

Have a nice waist, not too high but not low.

Got them in store and came home and ordered in all other colours.

Not sure of the length in " but I am five foot six and they are perfect on me.

Red Herring Skinnies usually have a low rise waist.

The model is 5ft 8 if that helps.

Are you an arseless wonder like me, usual? I have loads of skinny cords from Next which fit a treat (compared to most jeans/cords). Some of them even stay up without a belt!

When are they going to stop making low rise? Or at least give us a choice of a higher option.

Low rise is the most unflattering shape!

I think it's my fat stomach that's the problem though.

Usual suspect, all low ruses sink down on me. Ones tarps sit on the natural waistline or higher sit properly and don't slip down, in my experience.

Oh they look nice, I tried some on in h&m and couldn't get the fuckign things over my knees! O don't have fat knees! I wear a size ten skinnies from next ffs.

I have some new boots these would look fab with so will check them out :)

5madthings why didn't you just try a bigger size? Also I think Next's sizing is generous compared to H and M.

I did I tried on a 12 and a 14 and none would go over my knees! Crazy, I can wear a size ten from monsoon, next, m&s and h&m tops fits fine as do their skirts but their trousers never do. I have top shop sizeten jeans yet h&m never fit!

Mine arrived this morning, they are a great fit, very flattering....I sized down and would describe them as mid rise, definitely not low rise. They are tight around my muscular [slightly large] calves but not too tight. I'm going to order more....I love cords!
