Skinny jeans - but not too skinny

I'd really like some skinny jeans, but I don't want them too tight round the ankle. It just looks stupid on my short sturdy legs.

Ideally, I'd like them to drop straight from my muscular calves.

I'd also like some stretch, but not those ones that are totally elastic.

Budget - £40

TopShop Martha's are very forgiving for the more muscular of calf (I'm of the same persuasion OP). They are listed as "straight" leg but fit as skinny on my "athletic" legs.

I got some Forever Skinny from Gap which are great, and not skinny skinny. They were £39.95 but had 30% off last weekend(not sure if they still do).

I got some from Next, they are called Relaxed Skinny

I've got enormous sturdy calves and the Next relaxed skinnies are are very good for me. They aren't 'grippy' on the ankle like proper skinnies which is a look that does me no favours. You may want to size down though, they seem to come up a bit big

Relaxed skinnnies here too. Definitely need to size down (bonus!) maybe even by 2 sizes. But look very flattering on. Mine have been worn so much they are going a bit thin on the seat .

I have the same problem. I just bought some jeans called Always Skinny from Gap - perfect for me. Uniqlo also do some that are good for me.

Always Skinny are £39.95, Uniqlo ones are £29.95

I thought I would never find a pair of skinnies that didn't look awful on me. Surprisingly I found some at Tesco. They have washed well and are really comfortable. I bought a size too big as I find really tight jeans uncomfortable, and I invariably find that they shrink a little.

Zara! I am short, but their dark blue skinnies at £25.99 are lovely.

I was going to say Gap or Uniqlo.

Uniqlo do free alterations too which is a winner.
