What shoes/boots are your toddler girls wearing at the mo?

I'm really struggling with footwear for dd (21mo) at the mo. everything seems too prissy or yucky colours.

Previously I've bough pedipeds for her but not so sure now she's a bit bigger.

What are your girls wearing this a/w?

Clarks boys shoes in brown. Plain, simple ones.

Wellies (dark green) - they look great with her leggings tucked in and a dress over the top - its almost a "look" maybe "country chic"

I hate the pink glittery rubbish shops sell for girls.

My DD2 is a bit older than yours 3.5 size 8 I just bought her red leather boots for £30 from M&S younger girls section with 2 leather bows at the back look really nice not too girlie for nursery school (as school colour is red). They also do black but we opted for red as it looks so gorgeous DD1 and I are envious want a pair too! It doesn't look too school-y so she can wear outside school times. I thought Next shoes like plum/tiny floral hi tops and long denim fabric boots look fab too. Only if I have shed loads of money!

I go to an independent shoe shop to avoid the pink stuff and to avoid Mary Janes which seem to be acceptable winter footwear for girls despite being bloody useless in rain/cold. I often buy boys shoes for her as they seem more practical for a small child - enclose more of the foot and have rubber bumpers on the toes.

Hush puppies do some good colours - DD (almost 3) has had brown and red/brown from them before. This winter's pair are brown and bronze but can't remember the brand. Garvalin do great shoes - DS had the same style for 2.5 years from them as we loved it so much (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and white all on one fab shoe!)

I have bought Clarks boys shoes for her too. I don't mind DD wearing a bit of pink but we only get one pair of winter shoes for her and I prefer them to be sturdy and to go with more things, hence brown boys shoes being our go to!
