Purple and Black Occasion Dress for DD - age 3.8

I'm a part of the wedding from hell.

This is the bride's colour scheme - her dress is Cadbury Purple, mine is black.

They're struggling for money, so I said I'd buy my dress and my daughter's - she's a flower girl type thing - but nothing I've found is suitable...

The only dress the bride has liked has been a thing on Amazon from America.

I have several objections:

1. I cannot get the seller to give me proper sizes, so I don't know which size to get

1. I really don't want to be paying £14 P&P - especially with the above issue. I'd rather directly spend more money on something that I know fits!

1. It's hideous.

I've googled - but all I can find are others of the same ilk, or lilac, or white-with-sash, which is a no.

Help!

Could you get her a black dress with a purple sash/accessories or vice versa?

I actually bought my daughter something very similar to this for a big party recently. Considering how cheap it was, it looked brilliant, was fab for twirling and got loads of comments. Could you do something like that and dress it up with a black shrug and shoes?

ooh beautiful Ginny I had my heart set on that dress for a recent wedding but I decided on a different cheaper one as I am dieting and for that price would want more than one wear.

It did look and feel nice though.

I've actually had it shortened on a bias, so it trains at the back. (I'm 5 foot - everything is too long!)

In fact, I like it to the point I'm contemplating the shorter burgundy one they've just released for Christmas!

Oh I agree Ginny, I tried it on (the shorter version in purple) and loved it but could not justify the expense when I hope to be a bit smaller by Christmas.

I found it very flattering and it hid my lumpy bits whilst making my norks look ace. (even though I say so myself)

I love the idea of a train, sounds lovely.

Ooh if car is not booked and it is a gothicy theme then you can quite often get nice cars from funeral directors at fraction of price of wedding cars as they don't do funerals on the weekend. (assuming wedding is on weekend)

Have a shop around, there are some lovely green and black ones near me.
